The Basics of Our Test
The Bloodo™ NAD Test uses an advanced technique to measure your total NAD levels, which include both NAD+ and NADH. This measurement is crucial because it reflects your cellular health and energy status.
Technical Details Made Simple
Method: We use the enzymatic cyclic assay, a highly accurate method, to detect total NAD. Suitability: This test is designed for analyzing dried blood spots, making it convenient for home use. Precision: With a relative standard deviation (RSD) of 6.6%, our test is highly reliable.
Understanding the Numbers
Limit of Detection: We can detect NAD levels as low as 0.23 µmol/L in your blood. Linear Range: Our test accurately measures NAD levels in the range of 5-60 µmol/L.
Easy Sample Handling
Shipping and Storage: Both the test kits and the collected samples can be shipped and stored at room temperature, simplifying the process.
Diving into the Research and Data
Calibration and Accuracy: We use a calibration curve against the NAD standard (Fig. 1) to ensure accuracy. This means we can precisely measure your NAD within the identified range.
Figure 1. Typical calibration curve of Bloodo™ NAD Test. NAD concentrations are given accounting for a dilution and shows total NAD concentration in human blood.
Consistency in Testing: We’ve tested over 100 samples to ensure the test’s reproducibility (Fig. 2). Most samples showed very little difference between duplicate measurements.
Figure 2. Evaluation of the Bloodo™ NAD Test reproducibility. NAD concentrations are given accounting for a dilution and represent total NAD concentration in human blood.
Control Testing for Accuracy: We’ve rigorously tested the Bloodo™ NAD Test to ensure it exclusively measures NAD. This included tests with and without the removal of NAD from samples (Fig. 4), confirming the specificity and reliability of our method.
Figure 4. Control testing of Bloodo™ NAD Test performed using typical DBS samples (red) and DBS samples with removed NAD (yellow). Error bars represent ± 2 standard deviations from three independent measurements.
Additional controls were performed to confirm that the test accurately measures NAD. When a known amount of NAD was added to a blood sample, the test result increased by exactly that amount. This shows that the test works correctly and measures only NAD, without interference from other substances.
Figure 5. Control testing of Bloodo™ NAD Test using DBS samples (red), NAD standards (yellow), and DBS samples with added NAD standards (dark red). Error bars represent ± 2 standard deviations from three independent measurements.
The Takeaway
The Bloodo™ NAD Test is more than just a simple health test; it’s a window into understanding your body’s cellular vitality. With proven accuracy, consistency, and ease of use, it’s a powerful tool in your health and wellness journey.
